With such a huge hopper, the stove can provide warmth and comfort to your room continually for over six days without refilling if adjusted to a low setting producing 9,000 BTU/hour. If this is not hot enough, you can always adjust it to generate an output of 50,000 BTU/hour. This reduces burn time, but it is still a more than satisfactory 43 hours, or close to two full days. With this output, the pellet stove is capable of heating a room measuring 2,000 square feet.
An engineered auger system delivers the precise amount of pellets corresponding to the heat setting to the burn pot where they are automatically ignited by a 300-watt auto igniter. An AcuTron Control Board regulates the functions of the stove transmitting your inputs to the different parts of the heater.
The flame is visible through a large glass window which is kept clean and free from ash by an air-wash system. Heat is transferred from the burn chamber via a set of double row heat exchangers. These are aided by a circulation fan delivering 265 CFM of heated air into the room.
A large ashbin complements the large hopper so that as you do not need to continually refill the latter, you also do not need to continually empty the former.
