Jamestown J1000 Pellet Stove

Jamestown J1000 Pellet Stove

With a width of only 23 inches, depth of 13.5, and height ranging from 29 to 31 depending on whether it has steel or cast legs, or on a pedestal, the Jamestown J1000 Pellet Stove is ideal for tight and cramped spaces. Indeed, it is even approved for use in mobile homes.

In spite of its rather diminutive size, it packs enough power to generate up to 38,000 BTUs. With this, it can keep a room with a floor area of 1,800 square feet comfortably warm and toasty even in the height of winter. Minimum output is 6,000 BTUs.

A built-in hopper with a capacity of 37 pounds of wood pellets allows the stove to burn continuously for 38 hours. With a hopper extension, this can be extended to 72 hours. That is three full days of not lifting a finger to replenish the hopper. Although the stove can burn standard pellets, it performs better with premium versions.

The pellets in the burn pot, which is made of heavy-duty cast iron, are automatically ignited. This, however, can also be done manually should it be necessary to do so. Equipped with a glass air wash, the flickering flames remain visible through the glass window while the heated air is moved into the room with the help of a built-in blower.

The stove can be fitted with a thermostat for better regulation of temperature levels, but it does not come as standard equipment.

The Jamestown J1000 Pellet Stove has a simple boxy body. It has a large bay window through which the brick wall-style fireback is clearly visible. With the main body constructed out of fabricated steel, and the door frame on which the glass panes are mounted made from cast iron, the pellet stove is a sturdy piece of equipment. It is finished in charcoal gray and thus can easily blend into practically any surrounding.
