Enviro Maxx Pellet Stove

With its maximum output of 70,000 BTUs, the Enviro Maxx Pellet Stove is capable of heating a room as large as 2,700 square feet allowing its use in roomy halls, work areas, and living rooms. As tested by the EPA, emissions are rated at a low 2.3 g per hour. Since it is 86% efficient, it qualifies for US tax credits.
The stove has a hopper capacity of 130 lbs. With a feed rate of 1.7 lbs per hour at low setting, it can burn continually for over three days without the need to refill the hopper. This, of course, varies with the type of wood pellets used. Some pellets are denser or contain less moisture than others. Also, not all pellets are made from the same kind of wood. These would have an effect on the burn rate. In any case, if the stove is set at maximum heat, fuel consumption is increased to 7.6 – 8.3 lbs per hour, requiring a refill at 17 or 15 hours.
A large heavy-duty heat exchanger with a total surface area of 1,320 square inches effectively and efficiently transfers heat from the stove into the room. It is assisted by a convection fan with variable speed that can move heated air at a rate of 455 CFM.
Featuring a tri-mode control system, the Maxx Pellet Stove runs in three different ways. First is the manual mode which allows you to set the temperature level you desire by pressing the heat level adjustment buttons on the control panel.
Second is the high/low mode. This requires a thermostat as the stove is either deactivated or activated when a level of temperature you previously set is reached. Thermostat contacts open when the higher temperature is attained thus switching the stove to a low setting. They close as soon as the lower temperature is reached, raising and returning the temperature to its higher setting.
The third is the auto/off mode. Like the high/low mode, this also requires a thermostat and actually operates in much the same way, except that if the thermostat contacts remain open for 30 minutes, the stove automatically shuts off. It will come back to life only when the contacts close again at the lower preset temperature level.
