Breckwell Sonora SP23 Pellet Stove

Breckwell Sonora SP23 Pellet Stove

Although it sports a traditional look, the Breckwell Sonora SP23 is elegant and adaptable enough to blend seamlessly with any room regardless of motif or décor. Its relatively small size makes it easy to fit into any corner. And it comes in three variations –with legs, with stand, or as an insert.

The SP23 has a maximum output of 47,000 BTUs, while its minimum is 8,200. It has a hopper capacity of 60 pounds of wood pellets that can take as long as 60 hours to burn if the stove is set at minimum heat output. At maximum heat, however, the pellets burn at a rate of 5 pounds per hour, thus reducing burn time to 12 hours.

All stove functions are controlled and set by a control panel mounted on the left-hand side. This include the on/off, fuel feed, and high fan switches, reset trim, and heat level advance. These switches and buttons all contribute to the effective delivery of heat into your room.

The on/off switch activates the Hot Rod igniter, while the fuel feed button starts the auger system causing it to commence feeding pellets into the burn pot. Although fan speed automatically varies with the fuel feed rate, it can be overridden with the high fan switch if you wish to speed it up to accelerate heat transfers to the room, or slow it down. Reset trim is used to adjust the burn system according to the quality and size of your pellets. Heat level advance adjusts fuel feed rate thus increasing heat output.

Blowers operating silently draw cold air into the combustion chamber and transfer as well as circulate heated air into the room at 80% efficiency. An ash drawer catches any residue from the burnt pellets.

The Breckwell Sonora SP23 Pellet Stove is constructed with heavy steel. The frame of its glass window can be of standard black, or trimmed with brushed nickel or aluminum. It has measurements of 22.5″ W x 29″ H x 27″ D.
