Breckwell P7000 Solstice Pellet Stove
Pellet stoves are an effective and efficient way of heating homes. They are also considered environmentally friendly as they are fuelled with wood chips and shavings which would otherwise go to waste. For this reason, home heating companies manufacture and market several brands and models of pellet stoves.
Although there are variations in the designs of these different models, basically they consist of boxes with glass windows. The Breckwell P7000 Solstice Pellet Stove breaks this mold. It is an elongated cylinder standing on four tubular legs. The requisite glass window for flame viewing is still there, fitted with a huge handle for opening. Instead of a single vent, the P7000 has three. The main vent is above the door while two more are installed on the sides. Designed in a wavy pattern, the vents further help soften the austere look of boxy pellet stoves. While it is available in metallic black, you can also opt for a tamer metallic rich brown, or even the vibrant designer shimmering red.
The pellet stove has an 80-lb. hopper capacity which allows a burning time of 80 hours or over three days of continuous burning when adjusted to a low setting. It has a maximum heat output of 40,000 BTUs/hour and can easily heat an area of up to 1,500 square feet. A “Hot Rod” firestarter guarantees quick ignition of the wood pellets fed into the burn pot. This is made of solid cast iron and is removable making cleaning easy and convenient.
With the three vents, referred to as the “Tri-Source” heat distribution system, and high thermal efficiency, heat is quickly distributed in the room. This distribution is expedited through the help of a quiet blower with a convection capacity of 165 CFM.
An air wash system assures a clean window providing you with a clear and unobstructed view of the flickering flame. It has an exhaust temperature sensor and low draft shutdown.
The Breckwell P7000 Solstice Pellet Stove has a diameter of approximately 22 inches with a height of 41 inches. It weighs 277 lbs.
